Rosalie Aleksandra Anter investigates different methods of reaching the subconscious through her works. She has been developing her iconography since 2018, upon the project of creating a mural inspired of the animal kingdom. This iconography has been expanding for the past five years as she continuously has been exploring these organic marks.
The exploration of the iconography, and the repetition of the organic forms and animal figures within this environment, allowed for experimentation and for building her distinct language. Color, shape, line and space are the areas she is most interested in researching. Her interest lies in intuitive and fluid motion in her drawings and the forming of her hieroglyphs.
The animal world represents the outer vessels we are contained by, while the insides of the forms represent our subconscious. The questions rise regarding the inner persona and outer cloaks we carry. What does the jungle inside the lion contain? What does a flower signify? Are we as we seem or are we divided from within?
